Tailored
1-on-1 Chinese Program
RWC’s Tailored One-On-One Language Program brings the classroom and
the teacher to you.
The greatest asset of a private lesson is being able to perform the
lesson according to YOUR needs, YOUR aims and YOUR style:
- No need to have patience with other students as in a group lesson
- You can learn at your own pace, since the lesson does not progress
without you, even if you cancel
- Lessons become more informative and in-depth seeing as you can ask
any number of questions during your lesson without having to regard
other students' needs
- You can choose your fields of interest as the topic of
conversation
We recommend our private lessons especially to the following
people:
- people who want to learn Chinese at their own pace
- people who want to learn Chinese for specific tests, such as the
HSK Chinese Language Proficiency Test
- people who want to learn Chinese intensively and for a short
period
for business or business trips
- people who cannot take lessons regularly due to their schedule
- people who want to learn Chinese focusing on pronunciation,
grammar, etc.
- people who want to learn Chinese efficiently
If your close family and friends wants to take lessons with you, it
is no problem.
Curriculum
Generally, in order to ensure your Mandarin skills are developed in
the best possible way, the classes have been divided into the five key
language developing areas: reading, writing, listening, speaking
(oral), and grammar.
Reading: Classes will focus on building vocabulary and strengthening
reading comprehension, with a focus on accuracy and speed.
Writing: Classes will introduce and develop the composition of
characters and stroke orders of radicals, or bushou.
Listening: Classes will focus on improving listening comprehension of
spoken Mandarin at regular speed. At the beginner level the primary
focus will be understanding basic facts; at the advanced level the
primary focus will be developing implicit comprehension and drawing
inferences from complicated passages.
Speaking (Oral): Classes will facilitate the development of proper
pronunciation and intonation, and will help students recognize common
stress patterns in Mandarin.
Grammar: Classes will introduce and develop proper sentence structure,
word order, spelling and colloquial expressions.
